Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain can stem from and injury to the area, or other disorders such as fibromyalgia or endometriosis.  Because pain in the pelvis is not a disorder in of itself, the physician must execute tests to determine the cause of the pain. X-rays, MRI's or CAT scans may help decipher between possible reasons for the pain.

Depending on what is causing the pain, physician directed medication, physical, massage or occupational therapy, or even acupuncture could be helpful.  Surgery will be unlikely unless pain persists, then perhaps spinal stimulation or steroids might be helpful to control pain.
